He was born on 14 March 1965 in Bombay to film producers Tahir Hussain and Zeenat Hussain. He belongs to a Muslim family, which has been associated with the Hindi film industry for an extended time. His father Tahir Hussain was a film producer, and at the same time, his uncle was a film producer, director, and actor. Their family came from the heart of Afghanistan. Khan is the eldest of four siblings. His brother is Faisal Khan, and he works in the Film Industry. He had two sisters, Nikhat and Farhat Khan. Aamir married two times. He first married Renee Dutta on 18 April 198,6, who plays a small role in the movie Qayamat say, Qayamat Tak.

They had two children from their first wife, son Junaid Khan and daughter Ira. Aamir and Reena ended their marriage in 2002 due to some reasons. Khan married for a second time with Kiran Rao on 28 December 2005. They had one son, Azad Rao Khan. At the age of 8 years, he appeared for the first time in the Bollywood film industry. His debut movie Is Yaadon ki Baaraat (1973). This movie was dedicated to and produced by his uncle in 1970. After one year, he also acted in another movie Madhosh. After ten years after his debut, Aamirdebutedt as a professional Film actor in Film Holi. Ketan Mehta directed this movie. The character of Aamir khan in this Film went overlooked.

Aamir experienced his first success when he acted in the movie Qayamat say Qayamat Tak (1988). This movie was directed by Aamir’s cousin or Aamir’s uncle, the son of Mansoor Khan.
